Who's it for?

First-generation and underrepresented* STEM majors who start college as freshmen in Fall 2021.

WVU Tech is looking for computer science, information systems, computer engineering and electrical engineering students.

What you'll do

In this two-week, all-expense paid program, you’ll work on research projects in areas of computer science and engineering. You’ll work alongside college professors, learn about life at college, meet with industry professionals, conduct site visits and field trips, and make new friends.

What you'll get

A lot! You’ll get to be a part of unique research. You’ll build your confidence and get ready to rock your first year of college. You’ll even live on campus for the full two weeks to really get a sense of what college life is like. Travel, room and board are provided. Plus, when you successfully complete the program, you’ll be paid a stipend of $600.

How do I get involved?

That’s easy: apply now. The WVU Tech camp is limited to 10 spots, so reserve yours today!

*You’re a first-generation student if neither of your custodial parents graduated with a 4-year degree, even if your siblings went to college or your parents have some college. Underrepresented students include women, persons of color and other groups.
